The Hazelbaker Lactation Institute (HLI) hosts one-day and week-long in-person courses for lactation professionals and advanced-practice craniosacral therapists. The Hazelbaker Lactation Institute does not provide clinical lactation services. These services are provided through Dr. Hazelbaker's private practice, Spirit of Healing (SOH). Both HLI and Spirit of Healing are conveniently located near Rt. 315 and Bethel Road at 5115 Olentangy River Road (just north of Bethel) in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Alison Hazelbaker and Team
Dr. Alison Hazelbaker leads our team and possesses the right skills to deliver the best in online education.
Dr. Hazelbaker has been a therapist for nearly 30 years. She specializes in cross-disciplinary treatment and, to that end, has taken training in several modalities to assist her clients best. She is a certified Craniosacral Therapist, a Lymph Drainage Therapy practitioner, a Rhythmic Movement Training educator, a certified NOMAS assessor, and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. In 2010, she became a Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association (FILCA). She has been an educator for most of her career, recently serving as an adjunct professor at the graduate level.
Jessica Buell is Hazelbaker Lactation Institute’s webmistress. She works behind the scenes, making sure everything functions. If you have questions or concerns, billing or tech issues, Jessica is the person on the other end of the “Contact Us” form, toll-free number, and email. Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from Otterbein University and a Master’s degree in European Literature from University of Kent in Canterbury, England. Jessica has taken craniosacral therapy training through Upledger Institute and is currently in massage school.
Alyssa Ryan Calm is the head of Hazelbaker Lactation Institute’s marketing team. Alyssa has a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is Dr. Hazelbaker’s first intern to receive her certification as a Certified Independent Lactation Therapist and is working towards earning her certification in craniosacral therapy through Upledger Institute. She is currently in massage school.
